The Silencer Air trigger uses one battery #2032. This battery will last an estimated 20 hours before replacement is required. This will depend on use. There are three 2032 batteries included with the system. One installed in trigger and three spares. DO NOT USE Any other battery voltage or style.
The Silencer Air Motor utilizes two Li-Ion batteries #16340. They normally last about 10-20 hours during shoot but will vary depending on use. There are two batteries and a USB charger included in the standard system. They are also readily available on our website. The batteries are housed inside the battery rail of the Silencer Air.
If you plan to order batteries from alternate supplier make sure battery size and voltage is correct. Also make sure batteries have a safety voltage cutoff. Some on the market do NOT and when battery drops below voltage cutoff battery will be unstable and unusable. .
The lens rings included in the system are flexible and fit many sizes of lenses. Lens diameters ranging from 63mm to 80mm normally are a great fit for the included rings. If the lens has a rubber lens ring already you may not require to use the lens ring. If the lenses are larger then the bands will accommodate you may use a simple rubber wrist band. They are great for those large lenses.
We provide 6 belt sizes to accommodate
a very wide variety of lens diameters and rigs.
You can keep the photo lenses you have and the system will work
great. Also as you upgrade to cine
lenses in the future you have the option to use our pro gear drive to easily
connect to any geared lens.
This means the trigger and system is out of calibration. Make sure when turning on the Silencer Trigger and System has 5 seconds to connect and self calibrate. You must not move the trigger within the 5 seconds after connection from trigger and motor.
First try soft re calibration
Try turning off trigger and
Then turn on motor and then
trigger. Do not move the trigger for 4-5 seconds while it performs centering
If this does not work you need
to do hard calibration.
re-calibration process will allow the system to re-set the function monitoring
the full motion of the trigger. Always when turning on the Silencer Air
Trigger you must NOT move the trigger for first 5 seconds. It is scanning
to ensure the center location of the trigger. If it was moved the system
may be out of calibration and you will need to perform the below simple steps.
First try – turning off the power to trigger and then turning back on without
moving the trigger. This will re-center in most cases. If battery
is low you will want to change batteries. If this does not work steps for
